アグリドッグレスキューについて　

*アグリドッグレスキューは2017年4月よりアグリ犬猫里親会から名称変更となりました。
日本の犬猫殺処分数は2014年時点で年間約16万匹 （出典／Wikipedia）。
AIDが支援するアグリドッグレスキュー は、この数を０にすることを目指し、また少しでも多くの命を救うために活動する、様々な非営利団体のひとつ。千葉・関東圏を拠点に、登録した愛護センターや公園からの犬猫の引き取りを行っています。
保護した犬猫は、シェルターではなくボランティアの一般家庭で、里親が見つかるまで我が子と同じように育て、譲渡後も会のトレーナーやスタッフがきめ細かくフォローを行っています。

引き出し

公共の愛護センターなどから会によって引き出された毎月数等の犬猫は、協力動物病院で診察・治療を受け、それぞれ預かりボランティアさんに預けられ、犬猫たちは新しい飼い主が見つかるまで家族の一員として、必要な治療やしつけなどのしっかりしたケアと、深い愛情を受けて暮らします。
病気その他の理由で、万一新しい飼い主さんが見つけられない時は犬は預かりさんや里親会メンバーの大切な家族として、終生を過ごします。

預かり

預かりボランティアさんはそれぞれブログや掲示板をなど使って犬猫の健康状態、個性、生活の様子などを一般に公開し、里親希望者を募ります。
そのほかに会では月一で譲渡会という保護犬猫に直接会えるイベントを開催したり、個別にお見合いを行ったりします。
里親希望者と預かりさんを含めた里親会メンバーとの間で、譲渡までの間に必ず犬と直接会うお見合いや、丁寧な話し合いが行われます。

譲渡条件

譲渡には一定の条件がありますが、引き取り手環境と犬猫の状態、個性などの相性、また引き取る側の決意、心構え、愛情によって柔軟に対応してくれます。
意思確認は、申し込み時のアンケート、話し合い、書面による確認などでしっかりと行われます。

譲渡までに発生した一般的なワクチンや治療費（思い病気などで高額の治療費が発生している場合は話し合い）、去勢費用、交通費などは里親の負担になりますが、それ以外の支払いを請求されることはありません。

トライアル・譲渡

アグリドッグレスキューでは、飼育環境を確認するため、必ず譲渡時にスタッフが引取先に直接犬猫を送り届けます。
里親に引き取られた犬は一定のトライアル期間を経て、意思確認の上正式譲渡となります。
千葉県野田市を本拠地に活動する会のため、主に関東圏で譲渡を行っていますが、引き取る側の熱意で例外的に北海道など地域外に譲渡をしたこともあります。

運営費用

会の運営費用はフリマ、グッズ売り上げ、寄付によってまかなわれ、主に犬猫の医療費、エサや飼育用消耗品に使われます。
不足分は、通常メンバー、預かりボランティアさんが負担。詳細は随時会計報告サイトにアップされています。

Animal shelter situation in Japan
The animal control division in Japan has public shelters (hoken-jyo) which generally don't keep animals very long.
Personal shelters run by volunteers occupy an important position in the field of the animal rescue.
They take animals form those public shelters, give medical care and training and keep them until they find new owners (if none could be found, lifetime care would be given).
There are reall no "shelters" in Japan. Volunteer host families called "azukari-san” (meaning keeper) usually take care of the animas.
Those keepers use blogs for sharing info about animals. Blogs are also used for spreading awareness (e.g., the laws for Japan’s pet industry is currently (2015) not so strict - some breeders keep animals in cages for their whole lives… such situations are brought to light).

It's not a picnic being a member of the shelter. There is constant hard work, physical as well as mental.
They often have to deal with depressing situations. For example, they can take only a few animals per month from the public shelter while having to give up the rest of animals.They see animal cruelty often and have to deal with the death and sickness of rescued animals.

Rescued dogs and foster families

Some of the adopters make blogs to share the news about the dogs with the shelter and support them by spreading awareness at the same time (AID blog is one of those blogs). These bloggers exchange information closely.

Saya is the one of the bloggers who adopted an old French bulldog Okome (photo above).
Okome was a breeding dog rescued by Aguri dog rescue with horrible condition. She was blind, her body was covered by pockmarks and she had fresh stitches on her belly (they took her last pups from her and dumped her).
