3. Basics

3.1 Independance of Document

The documents for each stage are completely independent for each other,it includes all copied data until previous stage. Therefore, any changes of the original document in previous stage is no effect on the generated document from it.

3.2 Paper Settings and Scale

Geometry data are drawn on a virtual paper. In default, the paper size is A4, and its orientation is landscape. The origin is placed at the left-bottom corner of paper in default, the right hand direction is X plus direction, and the upper direction is Y plus direction. The unit of coordinate is millimeter. The scale (expanding ratio) is equal 1, in default. The real coordinate value is equal to the scale times to the distance from origin of paper. The position or size of geometry is specified with the real value. The paper size, orientation, position of origin, and scale can be changed after. The position of non geometry parts(exp. color bar in Visualizer) on paper, is specified with millimeter unit.

The paper size is enable only in the applcation. The image data is converted to PDF data in printing or when it be attached in a e-mail. However, the page size information cannot be kept in PDF data. Therefore, please specify the same paper size as specified in the application by yourself for true scale printing.

3.3 Unit System

Mesh data is generated with the coordinate system of model geometry, but the unit system for numerical analysis must be managed by yourself. In other words, a set of units for coordinate, material property and load condition, must have no contradiction.
