IMAがAIDを通じて、イベントなどで里親会等を支援できたのは、とても嬉しいことです。
犬や猫がペットとして過剰生産され、売れ残りとして檻に閉じ込められたり破棄されたりと言う現状には胸が痛みます。
ペットを商品化し、"消費者"も"傷物"でない完全な"商品"を求める...そんな傾向にも原因があるのかもしれません。

シェルターや里親会には、かけがえのない命、美しい動物たちが新しい家と家族を待っています。
犬や猫を飼いたい人たちが、ペットショップでペットを購入することによってマーケットを拡大し、不幸な犬猫を増やすよりも、里親会などから新しい家族を迎えようと考えるような時代が来ることを、心から願います。

そもそも人間と動物との関係はどうあるべきなのでしょうか？同じ惑星に生きる、この美しい生き物たちとの絆をもう一度取り戻したいものです。

It is with great pleasure that IMA can at times support AID and other animal rescue and support groups.
It concerns me greatly that dogs and cats have become such an 'off the shelf' item in Tokyo.

I wonder exactly the suffering the combined wish to have the 'perfect dog' is causing.
With so many beautiful animals already in shelters just waiting for a home, I would hope everyone would consider adopting rather than buying new and increasing a market and demand for more animal breeding.

Let us find our connection once again to these beautiful creatures we share our planet with.
