York Race Course

York is known as "The Beautiful Cathedral City". And it has a big racecourse. Top-class flar rases are held here. When I visited there in August, 1994, Ebor Festibal took place, including 3 Gr.1 races for 3 days.

The first day : International Stakes (Gr.1)

CHATOYANNT Jockey is L. Dettori	ALFLORA with M. Roberts	KING'S THEATRE Jockey is M. J. Kinane, top favorite of this race.

BOB'S RETURN Jockey is P. Robinson	Goal scene The winnwer is EZZOUD with W. R. Swinburn (Right), 2nd horse is MUHTARRAM. 3rd is KING'S THEATRE

The second day �F Yorkshire Oaks (Gr.1)

Yorkshire Oaks took place on the 2nd day. ONLY ROYALE and L. Dettori won the race with her brilliant performance. No photos of the race scene.

The third day �F Nunthorpe Stakes (Gr.1)

Nunthorpe Stakes is a sprint race. (5 furlongs) And very famous, very favorite horse, LOCHSONG raced. Most of people at Parade Ring expected her. But she was too excited on the day, and she was not able to show her best performance. The winner is BLUE SIREN with M. Hills. No photos again on this race.
